Ångersjöns Mat & Vildmarkscamping, the county's best rest area according to the renowned Motormännen, is a scenic wilderness campsite. The campsite is located directly adjacent to the E4 motorway, only 2 km from Enånger and Ångersjön rest area in Hudiksvall municipality and Gävleborg County. At the campsite you will stay close to nature in the middle of the wilderness with Ångersjön's shore as your nearest neighbour. Here you wake up to the sound of nature and can take the opportunity to go fishing, take a walk or why not take a dip in the lake. Not only that, you will find a restaurant with a variety of dishes. Everything from classic home cooking to salads, pasta, pizza, coffee and ice cream.

Ångersjöns Mat & Vildmarkscamping offers lovely accommodation with great facilities.

This rest area and campsite was opened back in the 1990s and has become a small oasis along the E4 motorway. There are pitches suitable for caravans, motorhomes and tents, and you can stay for a night or longer.

The restaurant at Ångersjöns Mat & Vildmarkscamping can accommodate around 60 guests and when the weather permits there is room for a further 32 guests on the outdoor terrace. Take the opportunity to enjoy good food and drink during your stay.

Ångersjöns Mat & Vildmarkscamping is located right next to the beautiful lake called Ångersjön. Here you will find a nice and well-kept bathing area for the family with both a sandy beach, bathing jetty, toilets and changing cabins. After a lovely day by the water, you can enjoy the magical sunset. This bathing area is a few minutes' walk from the campsite.

The nearby lake Ångersjön has a wide range of fish and bird life and you can expect both perch and pike on the hook. If you want to explore these fishing waters, however, a fishing licence is required, which can of course be purchased at the campsite. If you visit the campsite in winter, there is the possibility of ice fishing and angling.

Ångersjön's Mat & Vildmarkscamping is located between the towns of Söderhamn and Hudiksvall where you will find everything from restaurants, cafés, shopping and much more.

If you choose to take an excursion to Söderhamn, there are several activities to do. Here you are always close to water, both fresh and salt. One tip is to take the archipelago boat Moa out to one of the cosy islands and experience the archipelago in the best way. If you want a little more adventure on the journey, you can rent a sea kayak and get a sea experience.

In addition, you will find both a golf course and hiking and cycling trails that are well worth a visit. If you choose to visit Hudiksvall the next day, there are also several activities for both young and old. Discover "Glada Hudik's" living cultural heritage where the old is mixed with the new in a living city.

The campsite is open from May to the end of August. Check-in is possible from 15:00 on the day of arrival Check-out must be done before 12:00 on the day of departure.
