Hello and welcome to the Bison Farm in Gate! The bison farm in Gate is located on the beautiful Moblets farm in western Götaland. Here you will find 20 nice pitches with electricity for the motorhome with a magical view of Lake Vättern. You can also of course empty gray water, latrine and refill the fresh water during your stay here. Shower and WC are also available at the Bison Farm in Gate!

As the name says, the Bison Farm in Gate is of course much more than just a campsite. Since early spring 2005, Sweden's largest population of the American bison has been grazing here. Experience these amazing animals in the beautiful landscape right next to the lake vättern and the Hökensås forests. in the summer it also opens up for visitors both large and small where you can go on an exciting safari among the bison.

Either you go out on a trailer and tractor or you go in one of the off-road trucks available at the facility. The tours last about 35 minutes and the farmer will guide you through the tour and tell you everything you need to know about the animals.

After a visit to the farm, it is easy to get hungry and then you will of course find a lovely restaurant or Saloon as it is called on the Bison farm in gate. In the Saloon you can enjoy food and coffee made from well-selected ingredients. Do not miss out on the taste experience of a Bison burger! At Bisonfarmen in Gate you can hire quad bikes to take you around the surroundings and on Hökensås roads. There are both nice and fun tours to go on where you experience nature up close. This activity can be enjoyed all year round as long as the weather permits and you can ride up to 2 people per 4-wheeler! However, a B licence is required to drive these.

The landscape around Bison Farm in Gate is a gently undulating mountain ridge with a nature that is similar to what we have in Norrland. The Hökensås nature conservation area is actually a bedrock ridge that is up to about 300 metres high and as much as ten miles long.

If you are keen on swimming, take a day trip to the shore of Lake Vättern with a drink and a newspaper and enjoy the high summer after a day among the animals. If you want to make an excursion instead, you can go to Hjo and eat a bite to eat, have a coffee or shop for supplies. Here people often say "I love hjo!".

Mobolet's farm is located next to road 195 (Hjo-Jönköping) about 17 km south of Hjo. Look for the road sign "Gate and Bison Farm" then follow the unique signage (Silhouette of a bison) about 3km until you see the farm.

Pitches are open all year round weather permitting. The saloon & safari is closed during the low season. The high season is between June and September.
