Ånn Camping is located in the eternally beautiful Jämtland landscape. The campsite is centrally located in the middle of the Jämtland mountains, close to the Norwegian border, Åre, Storulvån and Storlien. All these places are about 30 km from the campsite. If you want to get to absolutely fantastic nature and landscapes, you should come here.
The campsite is open during the summer months, June - mid-September. Come and experience it for yourself!
With us you will find pitches with electricity and tent pitches. The site for pitches and tents is 200 square metres.
We have a service building where there are toilets and kitchen available.
With the perfect location of the campsite, we are close to all kinds of fun and excitement.Inside the camping area itself you can find all the amenities you would expect. Of course, we have the obligatory barbecue area in the camping area. In the service building you will find, among other things, a kitchen with hob, family shower and toilet.
Outside the camping area, it is a dream for outdoor activities. For those who are interested in fishing, there is very good fishing in Ånnsjön. Here it is mainly char and trout you fish for. Fishing licences are available to buy in digital form from ifiske.se.
There is also absolutely magical mountain hiking with the most beautiful nature you could wish for. There are several hiking trails for both those with less hiking experience and those who are more experienced with mountain hiking. There are few things we can recommend more than experiencing the mountains in all their splendour and grandeur. The Swedish mountains are truly a dream.
If you want to experience the mountains by bike, there are bike hire services in Åre, for example.
There are several places for birdwatching nearby. There is also a birdwatching station in Handöl, which is west of Ånnsjön. Ånnsjön's bird station is a non-profit organisation that works to increase knowledge of bird life in western Jämtland. Definitely worth a visit if you ask us!
Here we also have Tännforsen waterfall about 28 km from the campsite. The waterfall is Sweden's largest and is 38 metres high and 60 metres wide. Here you can really feel the power of nature thundering in your stomach as the water elegantly rushes downstream. Tänneforsen and its surrounding nature is classified as a nature reserve and also a Natura 2000 area. Tännforsen is just another of the many magical places we are blessed to have nearby from our campsite.
These are just a few examples of all the great fun you can find in the surrounding nature. The list of activities to do would be too long to write here. But feel free to ask us for more tips on fun activities!
Åre is one of Sweden's best known and most visited ski resorts. The campsite is located along the E14 motorway. The nearest big city on the Swedish side is Östersund, about 131 km from the campsite. On the Norwegian side, Trondheim is 133 km away. There is a railway station in Ånn.
Dogs are welcome at our campsite.A warm welcome to Ånn Camping!
