Camping Waldfrieden

The "Camping Waldfrieden" campsite is located on the edge of the charming town of Saarburg in Rhineland-Palatinate, surrounded by picturesque countryside close to the Saar and Moselle rivers. Covering an area of approx. 6.5 hectares, this family-friendly, privately run campsite offers a peaceful and relaxing environment away from traffic, yet close enough to the town centre.

The site has parcelled out pitches for motorhomes and caravans, including comfort pitches with supply and disposal facilities. For tent lovers, there is a separate area that allows camping close to nature.

Other facilities include a heated sanitary building with facilities for people with reduced mobility, a baby changing room, chemical toilet disposal, washing machines and dryers. There is a small shop in the reception area that sells everything from fresh bread rolls to camping accessories.

For children, the campsite has a playground with a slide, swings and sandpit, as well as a large lawn with a basketball hoop. The family atmosphere is enhanced by regular activities such as barbecues and organised games, making Camping Waldfrieden an ideal holiday destination for families.

Camping Waldfrieden is ideally located for exploring the historic Saar-Obermosel region. The town of Saarburg, only about 1.5 km away, is known for its picturesque waterfall in the centre of town, the historic old town and the surrounding vineyards.

Saarburg offers a variety of cultural and culinary experiences and is a perfect starting point for day trips to Trier, nearby Luxembourg or neighbouring France.

The region is ideal for numerous outdoor activities. Hiking and cycling along the Saar and Moselle rivers are particularly popular. The proximity to the river also offers opportunities for fishing and boating, while the surrounding vineyards invite you to enjoy wine tasting and culinary tours.

The Waldfrieden campsite is open from June to August, with the possibility of camping outside these times by prior arrangement. It is recommended to book early, especially in the summer months, to ensure the best selection of pitches. Guests can check in and out daily from 10:00 to 22:00.

Don't forget to bring suitable clothing for outdoor activities and be prepared for changeable weather. While the campsite offers basic supplies and snacks, it's worth bringing extra supplies, especially if you plan to explore the area extensively.
