Description
Welcome to the Rühler Schweiz campsite - your retreat in the middle of nature, directly on the Weser in the picturesque Weserbergland, around 3 km south of Bodenwerder. Whether you are looking for relaxation, an active holiday, a nature lover or just passing through - here everyone will find a place to take a deep breath and enjoy themselves.
The level meadow area offers unparcelled pitches for motorhomes, caravans or tents. This gives you maximum flexibility when choosing your pitch. The facilities leave nothing to be desired: a solar-heated outdoor pool is available to all guests free of charge - perfect for cooling off on warm summer days. There is also a playground for children to let off steam.
A special highlight is the hotel's own boat landing stage with slipway - ideal for anyone bringing their canoe, paddle boat or motorboat. The river offers a variety of opportunities for water sports or fishing - keen anglers will find their little paradise here.
Facilities also include modern sanitary facilities, washing machines and dryers (in the north and south wash houses), cable TV, Wi-Fi hotspots on the site and a working station in the café at reception.
A small bar with a sun terrace is open during reception opening hours and on Friday and Saturday evenings - here you can enjoy freshly tapped beer, cocktails and cool drinks. Hot drinks are available all day for self-service. A bread roll service is also available.

The area surrounding the Rühler Schweiz campsite offers a wealth of nature and leisure experiences. The idyllic landscape of the Weserbergland invites you to go on long hikes, cycle tours or walks along the Weser. The Weser is a real highlight for water sports enthusiasts - whether paddling, boating or swimming, everything is possible here.
Just 3 km away, Bodenwerder - known as the home of the Baron of Lies Münchhausen - offers charming alleyways, museums, cafés, restaurants and various shopping facilities, including REWE, Penny, a drinks store (including gas cylinders) and a country bakery.
Numerous excursion destinations such as the Pied Piper town of Hameln, Bevern Castle, the Weser Skywalks, as well as nature parks and viewpoints are easily accessible by car or bike.

The Rühler Schweiz campsite is particularly known for its relaxed, family atmosphere. The pitches are not parcelled out, which means that you can choose your own favourite spot on the meadow. Electric hook-ups are available throughout the site.
Arrival is uncomplicated, and for early risers there is a reliable bread roll service (please enter your name on the list at reception by 4 pm the day before). Dogs are welcome - please keep them on a lead. Families, couples, cyclists and water fans will all get their money's worth here.
Please note: The campsite is currently looking for an operator for the newly renovated catering area - until then, the bar will remain the central point of contact for drinks and snacks.
Tip: If you want to relax by the water, take part in sporting activities or simply listen to the lapping of the Weser in peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Book well in advance, especially in the summer months - places are in demand.
