Foldingbro Camping

Foldingbro Camping is a small but incredibly cosy campsite located in scenic Southern Denmark. With only 56 units, including eight cabins, this is a perfect place for those who want a more intimate camping experience where you can enjoy nature while receiving a personalised service from the campsite manager. The campsite is open all year round, so whether you come during the summer months or the cosy off-season, you'll be welcomed with warmth and hospitality.

We have a Put & Take, with strong, tasty rainbow trout.

The facilities on site are well-maintained and modern. There are two family-friendly shower rooms, one of which also has a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities. In addition, there are two larger toilet rooms with shower facilities and a small extra toilet with its own washbasin and mirror. The ladies' section has recently undergone a makeover, with new light grey partitions, mirrors and tiles making the room more inviting.

For the younger campers, there is a small new playground with a bouncy castle, climbing tower, swings and balance beams. The bouncy castle is a firm favourite with the children and can be used from spring to late summer. The campsite also has a terrace with barbecue facilities where guests can gather and enjoy a nice dinner in the open air.

At the reception and kiosk you can find a selection of groceries, sweets, ice cream, drinks, camping equipment and souvenirs. The kiosk also offers freshly baked bread on request. The reception serves as an information centre where you can get inspiration for sights and activities in the area.

One of the biggest advantages of Foldingbro Camping is its location by the river Kongeåen, which is just 50 metres from the site. Here you can fish, hike along the Kongeå trail or rent a canoe and explore the river from the waterside.

Foldingbro Camping is located in a beautiful natural area with many opportunities for activities and experiences. Right next to the campsite you'll find a Put & Take fishing lake, which is popular with anglers. Fish are regularly released here, so the chances of a good catch are high.

Just 50 metres from the campsite is the Kongeå River, known for its scenic beauty and good fishing opportunities. Kongeåstien, a hiking trail along the river, offers a lovely walk in the beautiful landscape. However, as the path crosses private land, it is important to note that dogs are not allowed on the path.

Our playground is not that big, the bouncy castle is quite popular. Approximately 200 metres from the campsite there is a large playground that can also be used.

Nearby you'll also find scenic areas such as Åttebjerge, where you can go hiking and enjoy the fantastic views. The area around Foldingbro is perfect for nature lovers who want to experience the beautiful landscape and history of Southern Jutland.

For those who want to combine nature with city experiences, the town of Vejen is just a short drive away. Here you'll find shops, cafés and restaurants offering both local and international cuisine. Brørup, located five kilometres from the campsite, offers a charming atmosphere and good shopping opportunities.

Culture and history buffs can visit Koldinghus, a beautiful castle with a rich history, or take a trip to Ribe, Denmark's oldest town, which is only a 20-minute drive away. Legoland and Wow-Park are not far away.

When visiting Foldingbro Camping, it's a good idea to plan your trip to make the most of the area. The campsite offers peaceful surroundings, but if you want to explore nearby towns or nature, a car or bike may be an advantage.

The campsite is dog-friendly, but remember to keep your dog on a lead at the campsite. However, dogs are not allowed on the Kongeåstien trail.

Foldingbro Camping has a kiosk where you can buy tinned food, sweets, ice cream, soft drinks, beer, wine and spirits. You can also buy fishing licences for both the fishing lake and Kongeåen. If you've forgotten any camping equipment, there is a small selection of plugs, pegs and storm protection available.

We sell ice cream all year round, but during the summer months there is an extra large selection of ice cream in the kiosk, including old-fashioned waffle ice cream, stick ice cream and the popular Soft Republick ice cream. You can also buy a specially designed Foldingbro ice cream, where you choose the flavour yourself. We also have Coffee to go, several different flavours.

We rent canoes and you can sail on the river Kongeåen from 3 hours to 3 days.

If you arrive outside reception opening hours, you can call the campsite manager who will be happy to help with check-in. Reception opening hours vary according to the season and are regularly updated on the website and Facebook page. The kiosk is closed in the middle of the day when other things need to be done on site, cleaning etc.
