Gullmarsbadens Camping

Gullmarsbadens Camping is the centrally located campsite. The campsite is located in beautiful surroundings with both forest and sea as the nearest neighbour. You will even find your own beach right next to the campsite.

The campsite is very simple and of an older character but is close to the sea and the town of Lysekil. The campsite is mostly unmanned, cleaning of the service house takes place once a day, therefore we ask you to keep in mind that there may be times when it is not cleaned!

Everyone is welcome to this campsite, regardless of whether you have a camping licence or not. The site offers pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents.

Hot water is available but supply is limited, so try to be economical. Minilivs and the kiosk are NOT open in 2024 but you will find everything and more in Lysekil.

The campsite is located in the beautiful, northern part of Bohuslän, only 2.5 km from the vibrant town of Lysekil.

2.5 km from the campsite you will find the coastal town of Lysekil. Lysekil, also known as the "City by the Sea", is located on the beautiful west coast of Bohuslän, where Gullmarsfjorden is open to the sea. The beautiful archipelago environment together with a very active city life and outdoor activities make this a very popular destination.

In 2019, Lysekil was named Sweden's most campervan-friendly municipality. This is of course due to the beautiful surroundings and the fact that there are several, both private and municipal, pitches and campsites in the area. Central, close to the sea and beautifully located in nature's most beautiful places.

Lysekil originates from an old fishing community but today offers activities and experiences for the whole family. You'll find everything from small, charming, well-preserved neighbourhoods from the past, to cold bath houses and even an aquarium.

When you're tired of wandering around all the cafés and restaurants offering the delights of the sea, we recommend a visit to the Aquarium: House of the Sea. In this well-maintained and beautiful tunnel aquarium, you can see porbeagle sharks, sea eels, starfish and much more. If you're even more adventurous, you'll also find activities like rock climbing, diving and fishing trips.

As evening falls, you can hire a sea kayak and watch the sunset in concert with the salt-splashed atmosphere and enjoy the city skyline.

When you're done with Lysekil, you can also head to a number of cosy spots from here. A hot tip is the ferry that takes you across Gullmarsfjorden and finally leads to Skaftölandet. Here you will find small picturesque villages such as Fiskebäckskil and Grundsund.

Other popular destinations that you don't want to miss during your stay are the rock carvings just outside Brastad, the beautiful Härnäset, which you will find where Brofjorden and Åbyfjorden meet, Röe Gård located in Brodalen and the climbing-friendly cliffs in Träleberg and Lyse.

Don't miss out on supporting and visiting the local farm shops located in the surroundings of Lysekil and Gullmarsbadens camping.

Gullmarsbaden's campsite is a summer facility with limited staffing where customers in most cases will have to check-in and stand on their places themselves.
