Habo Camping & Stugby

Habo Camping & Stugby is a cosy family campsite with 65 pitches. Four-legged friends are also welcome here. The campsite is beautifully situated between Bankeryd and Habo on Lake Vättern, 15 kilometres north of Jönköping. There are pitches suitable for motorhomes as well as regular camping pitches for caravans and tents. The camping pitches vary in size up to 100 square metres.

Habo Camping & Stugby is a state-of-the-art campsite with new and fresh facilities. In the Service Building you will find a disabled-accessible bathroom and kitchen with dishwashing facilities, cooker, microwave and washing machine and tumble dryer. The service building also has a second bathroom specially adapted for small children. Here you will find a bath tub and a raised floor under the shower. There is also a small toilet and a low washbasin - perfect for the little 'can do' campers.

For example, if you are looking for beautiful nature, Habo Camping & Stugby is perfect for you. Just outside Habo you will find for example Fiskebäckens nature reserve. It's a popular destination in the spring when the wood anemones are in bloom. You will also find Stora Kärr's beech forest, also a nature reserve with beautiful hiking areas, and Hökensås nature conservation area full of ponds and lakes.

Every summer Habo Camping & Stugby organises moose safaris. This takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. We gather at the reception and go by bus with destination Tumbäcks Gård, just north of Habo where the experience begins.

If you fancy an excursion that requires less planning, there are plenty of cycling and hiking opportunities around the campsite. Set off on shorter excursions or take a run on the jogging track. If you're up for a real challenge, hop on your mountain bike and head around Lake Vättern.

When it's time for a cultural visit, Habo Church is top of the list. The wooden church is one of Sweden's greatest sights and is filled with ornaments and magnificent paintings with motifs from Luther's catechism. The church is unique in the sense that it is architecturally similar to a cathedral, but is built entirely of wood.

Habo Camping & Stugby is a perfect campsite for the whole family. The campsite is cosily located next to Domsands Hamn, beach and Domneåns nature reserve along road 195, 15 kilometres north of Jönköping. The campsite is within walking distance of Lake Vättern with its beautiful sandy beach and pleasant marina. Here you can swim in Lake Vättern or sunbathe on the lovely beach.

When you feel like getting active, you can play volleyball, tennis or light your own campfire and cosy up. You can also rent a bike and a canoe, as well as a 5-metre rowing boat with a motor. For smaller children, there are several playgrounds, one in each neighbourhood. There is also an underground trampoline.
