Hemlunda Camping

Hemlunda Camping is the small campsite with the big heart. Situated by a small idyllic bathing lake next to Bergsviken with a fantastic nature, this is a popular choice for families with children, nature lovers and dog owners.

The site has around fifty camping pitches and tent sites, each with its own unique character.

The fresh service building has showers, toilets and access to a kitchen. There are also laundry facilities.

Many locals call this little gem "Pottan" because of the lake adjacent to the campsite. Many people claim that the design of the lake resembles a potty.

Hemlunda Camping is mainly known for its popular swimming area. Warm water, a nice jetty and perfect shallowness make many people visit this beach during the summer. The campsite also has barbecue facilities if you want to brighten up a lovely day at the beach with some barbecue.

There's also a kiosk on site serving everything from cool drinks and ice cream to light meals and snacks.

If you want to get into town for a little pulse, you can do it easily via Öholmabron. The bridge is often referred to as "Piteå's own Golden Gate bridge" and is an experience in itself. Piteå is a lovely summer town that attracts lots of tourists every year. In addition to its annual events such as Piteå summer games, Pite dances and smiles, the Nolia fair and Öjeby church market, this is a city with several attractions, activities and restaurants. Here, fine dining is interspersed with a varied selection of cosy lunch restaurants. Pitepalten is known throughout Sweden and originated here.

You will also find a varied range of shopping if you are looking for souvenirs as a memory or gifts for loved ones.

The Piteå archipelago is definitely worth a visit. It has no less than 550 islands and is like a whole world to discover. There is everything from picturesque fishing villages, stone labyrinths, ancient forests and shallow sandy beaches. Did you know that in many parts of Piteå, the country's highest water temperatures are often measured?

This is just a small selection of what Piteå and the campsite offer during the summer.

The campsite operates between 15 May - 10 September with full service during the same period. the facility is adapted for the disabled. Dogs are welcome in the area but not on the beach.
