Close to the centre of Holstebro
Holstebro's cosy city centre is just two kilometres from the site and is easily reached via a lovely footpath. Here you can go shopping, enjoy a good lunch at one of the city's cafés or let yourself be spoilt at a restaurant.
The pedestrianised street also boasts a unique work of art - Alberto Giacometti's iconic statue "Woman on a cart", or as the locals call her: Maren å æ woun. Due to its high value, the statue is lowered underground every night to protect it from theft.
Beach trip to the North Sea
If you're camping in Holstebro, the wild waves and wide beaches of the North Sea are just a short drive away - about 30 minutes. Head to the hilly and scenic area around Fjaltring and Ferring, where the red Bovbjerg Lighthouse rises dramatically above the landscape and offers an unforgettable view of the sea.
