Jockfalls Camping is located along the Kalix River next to the fabulous Jockfall waterfall. A 9-metre waterfall that attracts tourists from all over Europe every year. The area is known for its salmon fishing and its striking nature.
The site has over 40 camping pitches with electricity and large beautiful areas for tents. There are a total of 13 cabins in the holiday village. The 4-bed cabins, which are 25 square metres, are equipped with two bunk beds, chairs, table, fridge, freezer and a basic kitchen with kitchen equipment.
In the service building you will find toilets, showers, and a cosy sauna. There is also a simple kitchen with a fridge where you can store your food if you are camping. If you need to wash clothes, you can use the washing machine. The service centre is open around the clock.
Jockfalls Camping is known throughout Europe for its salmon fishing. The campsite is open all year round and depending on when you choose to visit this beautiful place there are various activities to do. Hiking, cycling, canoeing, skiing are just a few things besides fishing that this northern gem offers.
On the campsite itself there is a jacuzzi and sauna which is open all year round. The fully licensed restaurant offers everything from juicy burgers to reindeer stews and fillets. The fish dishes, mostly made with salmon, are caught just outside. The restaurant's speciality Jockfallaren is a well-known favourite among visitors. Served with salmon or with game in homemade soft thin bread and pressed potatoes with butter and onions, this is a real northern delicacy. If you want to enjoy the beautiful waterfall, there is an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy your meal with something good in your glass and at the same time listen to the water rushing down the waterfall. A memory you will carry with you for the rest of your life.
Jockfalls Camping collaborates with several local operators and also organises its own experiences and activities.
During the summer you can go out on the lake with a boat and fish, try cross-country cycling, hike in the mountains ride horses, and perhaps the coolest of all a canoe trip where you meet the midnight sun out on the clear water. Summers in Swedish Lapland are something special. Here the sun never sets. During the trip, you can stop on land to build a fire and cook a meal.
In winter you can go snowmobiling, experience the northern lights, go dog sledding or why not visit a moose farm. There are transfers to the Ice Hotel and nearby towns for shopping if you fancy it.
The staff at the campsite are experts in the area and what suits you.
The campsite is open between 11/5 - 14/10 and our lodges are open all year round. WiFi is available on site. Dogs are welcome.
If you wish to come in a larger group, please contact us in time. Every year more weddings, conferences and other events are held here. It is often fully booked so it is important to book in time if you want to secure your place. The campsite accepts credit cards, swish and cash.
There is no grocery store in the area, so we recommend that you purchase any necessary supplies before you check in. If you wish to supplement during your stay, there is a grocery store in Överkalix which is 37 km away.
A warm welcome to Jockfalls Camping!
