Kroksjöns Skogsretreat

In comfortable beds in cosy canvas tents, with good, local food that you cook over the fire - here you will find a genuine, slow living experience that is just right so that you can focus on other things - such as deep conversations by the fire, relaxing sauna baths or beautiful forest walks.

Kroksjöns Skogsretreat is a small nature oasis in the Småland part of Halland, more specifically on the northern shore of Kroksjön, outside Unnaryd in Hylte Municipality.

Our four canvas tents are carefully and cosily furnished with wood-burning stoves, warm blankets, woollen blankets and cosy lighting, and are located in beautiful places in nature. Whether you're a family, a couple, friends, solo or want to stay secluded, close to your neighbour, with a lake view or surrounded by the forest, there's a room just for you.

The food is also included in the price. In collaboration with local food producers, we have put together a fantastic food box with organic, fine ingredients and simple recipes for your entire stay, which is included when you stay with us. <br>

You can prepare your own food in the outdoor kitchen, which is fully equipped with kitchen utensils, seating and a fireplace.

When you visit us, you can hike, swim or row out with the boat. A wood-fired sauna with lake view is included in the price.

Price per night is from 1697:- per person incl full board.

Kroksjöns Skogsretreat is beautifully situated on the northern shore of Kroksjön with opportunities for swimming, rowing, SUP, fishing and sauna bathing, as well as berry and mushroom picking in the autumn.<br>

Here you can stroll along the beautiful Brunnsbackaleden, about 7 km through varied and beautiful scenery. Stop at the old sawmill in Brunnsbacka on the way where time seems to stand still. Or take a walk to the Ödegärdet nature reserve, where the beech forest invites you into its large halls.

In the immediate area you will find Gården Byns farm shop, Unnaryds Hembygdspark with a farmhouse museum and summer café, Butik Paletti, Bäck Kafé and Bakery, and Tiraholms Fisk.

Fancy having a look round? We have a couple of bikes for hire (first come, first served) that you can add when you book. There are plenty of great places to see and visit in the immediate area, and the Hylteleden cycle path runs past here, 165 km all the way round. Maybe you'll even come to us by bike?<br>

The bikes are of the 'ladies' type, and only in adult size. <br>

They are booked for the whole stay and delivered at check-in.
