Lyssenthoek Farm

Lyssenthoek Farm is a charming and recently opened campsite in picturesque Poperinge, Belgium. Since our opening on 1 June 2020, we, Andy, Jolien, Rorik, Mara and Torak, have enthusiastically welcomed guests to our cosy and small-scale campsite. The campsite has 11 pitches and a tent meadow. Each pitch is about 90m² and has water and electricity (10 amps). Some pitches also offer shade. The tent field has electricity connections of 6 amps, so you can enjoy the freedom of camping with the necessary conveniences.

For families with children, our campsite is a true paradise. Our sanitary facilities are child-friendly with a changing table and bath for the little ones. We have an extensive play area with swings, slides, a playhouse, a sandpit, a trampoline and a seesaw. There is also a courtyard with bikes and tractors for the children to use. Animal lovers will enjoy our mini farm. Help feed the animals together with the children and learn more about their care. We also offer horse riding and covered wagon rides.

Besides all these facilities, we have a relaxation area with a billiard table, darts and a ping-pong table. There are also cosy seating areas and a nice reading corner. For your convenience, we have a launderette and Wi-Fi is available throughout the campsite. We also offer the option of renting a tent, suitable for up to 6 people, with two sleeping compartments and a spacious 12m² living area. This is ideal for those who want to enjoy a stay in nature without their own camping equipment.

Lyssenthoek Farm is located in a beautiful area between the coast, Ypres, Heuvelland and just a kilometre from the French border. A few hundred metres away is the British military cemetery Lijssenthoek with an impressive visitor centre. This is an absolute must for history and culture lovers.

There are plenty of activities and sights in the surrounding area. You can take lovely walking and cycling trips through the beautiful Flemish countryside. Poperinge itself offers cosy restaurants, atmospheric bars and various shops, all within a few minutes' reach. For a day out, the beaches of the Belgian coast are also within easy reach, perfect for a sunny day by the sea.
