Description
In the centre of Dalarna, on the banks of the Västerdal River and Bullsjön lake, you'll find idyllic Malungs Camping. There are over 170 camping pitches, 110 of which have electricity, large green areas where you can pitch your tent and 24 camping cabins of different standards and themes depending on what you are looking for.
Adjacent to these are two fresh service buildings with all kinds of amenities that may be needed for a comfortable stay.
Regardless of the type of accommodation you choose, there is always the magnificent nature right outside the door but where you are also close to restaurants, shopping and above all lots of activities.

Malungs camping is a year-round facility that offers lots of activities and attractions depending on when in the year you visit the campsite. During the summer you will find a nice sandy beach suitable for the whole family with activities such as mini golf and fishing, can you beat the course record? Or why not hire a canoe?
If you prefer to swim in the temperate pool, you can do so. At the campsite you will also find a playground for children.
For the sporty traveller, there are guided hiking tours and various cycling routes. There are also lovely jogging tracks along the campsite if you prefer to lace up your running shoes.
The resort is geographically very well located within walking distance of the city centre where you will find a fine selection of food, entertainment and shopping.
One of the biggest events of the year in the area is Dance Band Week, which attracts up to hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world who come here to enjoy the music, the dancing and the great atmosphere. Over the course of seven nights, with six pulsating dance floors and plenty of dance bands, this is one of Sweden's most magical festivals. The festival is always in week 29 and the campsite grows by several thousand places during these days. Don't miss this for anything in the world, memory for life!
If you visit the campsite in winter, there are fantastic opportunities to jump on both cross-country skis and snowmobiles right at the door. There are trails to Byråsen and other exciting places such as the sports field in Malung or larger cross-country ski trails to the north, such as Kläppen. Trail maps are available for purchase at the reception.
Whatever you are looking for, you will find it here. Come into reception and they will be more than happy to help you plan a bunch of activities during your stay. The facility is part of Lumang AB and cooperation with Visit Dalarna and is a so-called InfoPoint, which means that we have good local knowledge. Here you can get tips on events, sights, excursion destinations, accommodation, food and coffee places.

Malungs Camping is open all year round. If you have questions in addition to the information available about accommodation, booking or similar, we refer to the reception. If the reception is closed, you can always call our emergency number which you will find on the reception door.
Please note that arrival and departure on weekends is possible regardless of opening hours. Keys are handed out and returned via the key cabinet.
The facility is adapted for the disabled. As a guest you have access to Wifi / Wireless internet. Pets are only allowed in certain rooms. Free parking is available on site.
