Meselefors Camping

In the peaceful municipality of Vilhelmina in southern Lapland, lies Meselefors Camping. Here there are 28 lovely pitches with electricity suitable for caravans and motorhomes. There are also large and beautiful areas to pitch a tent. Common to all these pitches is the fantastic view and the scenic and peaceful environment.

The holiday village consists of a total of 7 cottages of different sizes and standards. All of the cottages are modernly equipped and have all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Bed linen or sleeping bag is mandatory in the cabins. If you don't have them with you, you can rent the bed linen at the reception for SEK 80 per person.

There are two service buildings where you will find toilets, showers, baby changing rooms and a small kitchen with associated kitchen equipment.

Meselefors Camping is a perfect place for those who want to enjoy the Swedish countryside while having access to good facilities. Prices at the campsite vary depending on the season and the type of site you choose.

With its scenic and peaceful location, the campsite offers a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, where you can really experience the silence. There is an open-air swimming pool in the neighbourhood with good fishing opportunities. Fishing licences are required and are sold at the reception. At the campsite there is a large barbecue area where you can grill the day's catch or something else good that you bring with you.

There is no service shop in the area, but if you need to supplement during your stay, there are grocery stores in the centre of Vilhelmina, where there is also a pharmacy, shops, restaurants and more.

What perhaps characterises the area around the campsite most is the magnificent nature, lakes and culture. Vilhelmina has truly become a place that people come back to year after year, as many want to get closer to nature when city life gets too hectic. Visitors discover the fishing, the hiking and the feeling of being one with nature makes many fall in love with the area.

If you're keen on hiking, the Wilderness Road runs right outside here. Vildmarksvägen is one of Sweden's highest roads and runs through Jämtland and Swedish Lapland. The wild road that is at the campsite leads past Stora Blåsjön and then into the mighty Stekenjokk plateau and further into Southern Lapland.
