Description
In the centre between Västervik and Vimmerby in the small community of Odensvi lies the scenic Odensvi Camping. There are 8 electric pitches, 9 pitches without electricity and fantastic areas for tents. Access to shower, toilet and kitchen is available at the community centre which is located above the campsite at the general store.
There is also an outhouse in the area. Check-in takes place in Odensvi country store, which is located in the village centre right next to the campsite.

Odensvi Camping has fantastic hiking, fishing and swimming opportunities. 100 metres from the area by the church lake is a child and dog-friendly swimming area that also has a ramp for the disabled.
The area around the church lake has been given a real boost and there is a new playground, boules court, outdoor gym and new barbecue area where the whole family can enjoy the fantastic surroundings but also have fun with everything that a modern campsite can offer. The evening sun makes you want to linger and enjoy for a long time. The country store is located about 300 metres from the campsite and has regular customers from all over the country.
Here you can buy a cup of coffee with a freshly baked roll or some yummy coffee bread. You can also have lunch in the café. You can buy the popular lunch box made in the catering department, heat it yourself and then sit down in the café and enjoy the lovely atmosphere. The prawn sandwiches are well known and are a must try. There's also a good basic range of groceries if you need to get something extra for your stay at the campsite.
The most visited excursion destination in Odensvi is undoubtedly Hängesten. To get here, take the road between Odensvi -Blackstad and at the village of Karrum turn down a small gravel road in the sharp curve between an old barn that stands right by the road and a large white farmhouse. Turn right if you are coming from Odensvi.
A bit away is Vimmerby and Astrid Lindgren's magical world, an absolute must for the whole family.

Odensvi Camping is open from 1/4 to 31/10 . In addition to the campsite, there is also a hostel that you can stay at.
The camping pitches are just over 9x9m in size.
The campsite is adapted for the disabled. Dogs are welcome at the campsite.
There is also a petrol station in the middle of Odensvi by the shop where you can fill up before going on excursions. Fishing licences can be bought in the general store. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are always ready to help both you and the staff.

Die Stellplätze sind alle am Seeufer mit traumhafter Sicht. Der Sonnenuntergang war wunderschön. Wir hatten 2 Nächte gebucht, sind allerdings nach einer Nacht gefahren, weil eine Unmenge an Fliegen da waren und das unerträglich war. Toiletten + Duschen schon in die Jahre gekommen und weit von den Stellplätzen weg. Personal super freundlich und sehr gute Schwarzwasser Entsorgung.

Nice and tiny campsite with a beautiful view over a lake. It was not very clean while we stayed there, but the shower was hot, there was hot water for dishwashing and you could dispose your waste divided into organic and non-organic waste. The view made up for the rest!
