Paradiset i Dalarna

Welcome to Paradiset in Dalarna. Here you will find a log cabin with double bed with magnificent views of forest and lake. Fully glazed double doors let in the evening light when the sun goes down over the water. Complete outdoor kitchen. Just next door is also a hot shower and fresh toilet.

Guests have access to a wood-fired sauna, wood-fired hot tub by the beach, boat, canoe, floating dock with electric motor, etc. Barbecue and fireplace by the beach. Patio on private wooden deck.

A rustic, safe location. This must be experienced!

The sturdy log cabin is in a scenic location, just 20 metres from the lake. Here you will find the patio, the jetty with bathing ladder, sauna, hot tub and fire pit with barbecue. Boat etc. included in the rent. Sunset over the lake!

The rent also includes that you can freely dispose of a rowing boat and canoe. In addition, there is a raft bridge with electric motor for a nice, quiet journey across the water. The raft is well suited for fishing and equipped with furniture, fireplace for barbecues, etc. The cottage guest also has, by arrangement, access to the wood-fired hot tub and an exclusive wood-fired sauna right next to the beach.

The old mill property has a total of a dozen timber-framed buildings, which give the farm the character of a genuine valley environment in the 19th century style. Enskvarn is like its own little village in the middle of the forest. There is peace and quiet here, but only a quarter of a mile from the centre of Rättvik. There is another bathing area 200 metres away at the beautiful lily-covered mill pond, upstream of Enskvarn.

Good perch and pike fishing in the lake (fishing licence required). Fine rainbow trout water can be found in a forest lake 15 minutes' walk away (1,000 metres). A beautiful river and an enchanting canal run through the lake-rich, beautiful forest landscape. The area is very scenic and rich in birds. More than 100 bird species have been observed here.

In the immediate vicinity there are several small lakes and streams with good fishing, including grayling and noble fishing waters. The terrain is varied with many walking and forest trails. (The Siljan trail connects). Good berry and mushroom fields.

In the immediate area around Övre- and Nedre Gärdsjö there are many cultural attractions and places to visit. The nearest supermarket and petrol station is in Boda Kyrkby 7 km north along road 301.

We have 15 min drive to Classic Car week, Music at Siljan, Dalhalla and other major events. The hosts speak English and German.

The cottage is preferably booked Sunday-Sunday. It is available from 3pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure, when the cottage must also be cleaned.

The host will provide paper towels, toilet paper, washing-up liquid, cleaning products, cleaning equipment, etc. Blankets and pillows are provided. Guests bring their own bed linen and towels.
