Præstø Vingård is an idyllic vineyard located just outside the town of Præstø on Zealand, where the landscape rolls beautifully down towards the fjord. The farm, Granabri, was founded in 2010 and has since been a place where passion for wine and respect for nature go hand in hand.
With an elevated location, 22 metres above sea level, creating the perfect conditions for wine production, the winery produces a selection of quality wines based on carefully selected grape varieties. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour through the vineyards and learn about cultivation methods, the harvesting process and winemaking. One of the most popular activities are wine and food tastings, where you can experience the winery's own wines in combination with local delicacies.
The winery also offers accommodation for camping guests. There is a dedicated area for motorhomes and caravans where visitors can enjoy the tranquillity and scenic landscape. The site has modern facilities such as electricity, fresh drinking water, toilet and shower facilities and a cosy barbecue area where guests can enjoy a relaxing evening with good food and a glass of local wine.
One of the special characteristics of the vineyard is the open nature where deer, hares and pheasants roam freely among the vines. Birds of prey such as sea eagles, kestrels and buzzards are often seen soaring over the area, creating a unique atmosphere and a beautiful backdrop for a holiday in nature.
Præstø and the surrounding area is known for its charming landscapes, rich cultural history and cosy coastal areas. Just a few minutes from the vineyard is Præstø Fjord, where you can enjoy sailing, kayaking and fishing. For those who enjoy a good hike or bike ride, the area offers scenic routes through fields, forests and coastlines.
One of the main attractions in the area is Møn and Møns Klint, which is about a 40-minute drive from the vineyard. The impressive chalk cliffs are one of Denmark's most spectacular natural wonders and a must-see for nature lovers.
In Præstø town you can visit small shops, cosy cafés and restaurants where you can taste local specialities. The town also has a cosy marina where you can stroll along the quay and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
For history buffs, Gavnø Castle and Vordingborg Castle are worth a visit, both within easy driving distance. Here you can experience Denmark's history up close with beautiful castle gardens and impressive medieval ruins.
