Ragnerudssjöns Camping

Ragnerudssjöns Camping is located northwest in Dalsland right next to Ragnerudsjön. The site is surrounded by nature just outside the camping area and Högsäter is about 4 km away. We also have Kroppefjälls nature reserve nearby. In short, we have it all!

At Ragnerudssjöns Camping you will find camping pitches, tent pitches and cottages. All camping pitches have a view of the incredibly beautiful Ragnerudsjön.We have camping pitches with and without EL. The camping pitches are 70 sqm and the tent pitches 120 sqm. We also have 14 cottages of varying sizes.

There are two service buildings on the campsite. In these you will find, among other things:

• Kitchen with microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator
• Shower/Family shower & WC
• Dining area

On and off the campsite, there's plenty to try and do. Inside the campsite there is a beautiful sandy beach with its own area for dogs. On the sandy beach itself we also have a newly built electric sauna from 2020 overlooking the beautiful lake. The sauna can accommodate up to 8 people. There are also 2 barbecue areas by the beach. If you want to go on a little adventure in the water we have rowing boat, canoe, kayak and SUP for rent. SUP stands for "Standup Paddleboarding" and is more or less a surfboard that you stand on and move forward with the help of a paddle. Life jackets are of course included in all water activities. For those of you who are interested in fishing, the following fish can be found in Lake Ragnerud: Perch, Pike, Bream, Bonefish, Lake, Walleye, Walleyes, Whitefish, and Eels. To fish, you need a valid fishing license which is available at the reception. It costs 20 SEK per day or 150 SEK per year.

From Ragnerudssjöns Camping there is a hiking trail to the nature reserve which is about 3km away. It is therefore much closer by foot than by car.

On the campsite there is also:

• Miniature golf with 12 holes
• A grass pitch with 2 goals for football, for example
• Boule
• Activity tent
• Barbecue hut for the perfect barbecue evening!
• Free WIFI for all our guests
• ...and all the other fun you can think of!

Outside the campsite there are several scenic hiking trails and very nice cycling trails on both gravel and asphalt. These are definitely worth exploring while you are on holiday at Ragnerudssjöns Camping.

Inside Högsäter we highly recommend a visit to Högsäter Church with its elegant external as well as internal architecture. The church was probably built in the later Middle Ages and is now a symbolic building for the town. The beautiful Valbo River also runs through the town.

The nearest grocery store (Coop Konsum) is also located in Högsäter. About 16km from the campsite is Färgelanda, which is a slightly larger town than Högsäter. Here is Ödeborgs Fornsal which is a museum with over 6000 Dalsland objects from the pre-industrial era. In Färgelanda there is also Borråsbergets Fornborg, Färgelanda church and other interesting things to explore.There is something to see and experience in all directions. Ask us for more tips!
