Description
Sandösunds Resort on Vårdö, Åland, is an idyllic place that combines the best of nature with comfort and relaxation. The campsite has retained its original character with sandy forest and open spaces facing two swimming beaches. For those who want a site with a sea view, electricity is included in the camping fee.
We offer genuine Åland home cooking, from coffee with homemade bread to the traditional Åland pancake and the dish of the day. Our smoked fish comes from our own smokehouse, and we have our own selected vineyard. We have 30 years of experience serving everything from school groups to weddings.
Flexibility extends even to late arrivals; let us know in advance if you need a meal. Our menu list is updated weekly, and we also offer vegetarian options.
Kayaking is a popular activity and a unique way to experience the Åland archipelago. We have equipment and maps for canoeing adventures and offer guided tours for both school and adult groups.
Cycling is another activity you can enjoy from Sandösund, either on a shorter tour or longer excursions to the mainland and archipelago.
For families with children, there are child-friendly beaches and a floating sauna that is a popular place to relax.

Here we also serve proper home cooking made from fresh & local ingredients. Of course we have vegetarian options on the menu. If you want to go out and explore the archipelago from the sea's perspective, we have kayaks for rent. If you want to take it a little extra easy, we also have floating saunas for rent.
