Sandvikens Camping & Stugby

Sandvikens Camping & Stugby is located in beautiful Jämtland, 4.5 kilometres from Östersund city centre. Right next to the shores of Lake Storsjön you will find this summer idyll in the middle of the northern hinterland. The campsite is characterised by its proximity to water and nature.

With us you will find space for tents, caravans and motorhomes, you choose yourself if you want EL. There are places both directly by the beach or higher up where you get a fantastic view of Storsjön, Frösön and Östersund.

At the top of the service building you will find the reception, kiosk and restaurant with street kitchen. If desired, it is also possible to watch TV. Downstairs there are ladies' and gents' toilets with washbasins, showers and disabled toilets with changing tables. Here you will also find the camping kitchen and laundry room with 2 washing machines, 2 tumble dryers, ironing board and iron. This is also where you fill up drinking water. Around the corner you will find the latrine emptying.

So there is everything you need in the service building for the best possible camping experience!

We at Sandvikens Camping & Stugby are prepared to agree with him, but with a little twist! Camping, sun, wind and water is the best we know is our motto and we are proud of it! For you younger people who do not know this song, we can strongly recommend you to listen to it.

Sandvikens Camping & Stugby is located a stone's throw from Lake Storsjön only 4.5 km from Östersund. With so close to Östersund from the camping area, you can easily get to the city to experience it, buy everything needed for the barbecue evening or maybe a fishing rod to try the fishing luck with. We have large grass fields for games and play and are happy to lend you our petanque, badminton, fireball games, etc.

There are opportunities for swimming and fishing, from the jetty if you wish. We organise dances almost every Friday throughout the summer, which is usually popular with the locals. There are also good cycle paths with the possibility of nice bike rides in beautiful surroundings and challenging hiking trails.

We can offer you magnificent nature and peace of mind. These go hand in hand! If you have not experienced the peace that the northern nature provides in body and soul, it is time now. We will do our utmost to give you the best possible experience.

We also have several different types of cottages for hire. All cottages are of a consistently high standard.

All cottages are equipped with cooking facilities and kitchen equipment, duvets and pillows, and a patio with garden furniture. Guests only need to bring bed linen and towels. The cottage rent always includes electricity and heating and access to a shower at no extra cost. The distance to the service building is about 70 - 80 metres depending on which cottage you stay in.

We also have Sjövillan hostel (33 beds in 7 rooms, 3-6 beds per room).

With us there are accommodations for all occasions, we also organise conferences, kick-offs and parties.

Sandvikens Camping & Stugby is located right next to Vallsundsbron.

Just like everything else you book, it is good to be out as early as possible.

The easiest way to get to us is by car or motorhome.

Search for journeys from Östersund bus station to Vallsundet Sandviken, which is the nearest bus station to the campsite. You can search for long-distance buses yourself and find a journey that suits you. The nearest train station is in Östersund.
