Description
Welcome to Simbadets Camping, a charming little campsite in Österbybruk Uppland just four miles north of Uppsala.
The site is idyllically located between Stordammen and Oppdammen and offers a perfect combination of nature and amenities. Here you can enjoy a swimming area with a 10-metre high diving tower, long bathing jetties and a sandy beach for relaxing days by the water.
The campsite has more than 30 electric pitches for caravans and motorhomes, as well as simple overnight cabins without running water, but close to the water.
Showers, toilets and a kitchen are available in the service centre.
Our facilities are kept clean and fresh with regular cleaning, and to maintain this, there is a forest border in the service centre.

Nearby
Simbadets Camping not only offers fantastic nature activities but is also close to the centre of Österbybruk. Within a short walk you can reach a pharmacy, Coop, Ica and various restaurants and shops.
The area is rich in culture and history, and the square has pizzerias, a bakery and an ice cream parlour.
The manor house area, just a five-minute walk from the campsite, offers a variety of attractions such as the orangery garden, a second-hand shop, antique shops and a carriage museum.
For those interested in culture, there are also cafés, an inn and the possibility of guided tours of the manor house and the poppy forge.
The more adventurous can book a guided via ferrata down into the old mine from the 16th century. This involves climbing down a cable 80 metres underground and experiencing a completely unique environment.

Check-in at the camping pitches is from 13:00 and the chalets from 15:00, with check-out by 12:00 for both.

During the low season 1 September-17 November, the reception is not permanently staffed and you book, pay and check in via our booking page.
In places 1-44, the carriage must be reversed in between the marking arrows.
On pitches 45-53, the vehicle must be driven in between the marking arrows.
Waste management is available with special areas for household waste and glass recycling and latrine emptying.
Simbadets Camping offers a unique opportunity to enjoy both the tranquillity of nature, activities and the proximity to local amenities and a rich variety of natural and cultural experiences. With us you can rent a kayak, SUP or rowing boat or why not join us on an adventure in Dannemora Gruva? In connection to the campsite, many beautiful hiking trails begin and the Upplandsleden trail passes right by the entrance.
