At Stora Lesjön, about 35 kilometres south of Arvika in western Värmland, you'll find one of Sweden's most beautiful campsites, Sölje Camping. The campsite is west-facing and is known for its fabulous sunsets. A fantastic summer gem on the edge of Glaskogen, one of Sweden's most beautiful nature reserves covering 28,000 hectares.

Sölje Camping offers around 60 camping pitches, and large scenic areas for tents. Sölje Camping also offers 15 cabins of various sizes with a total of 34 beds. The cabins are equipped with bed linen, a hob, kitchen utensils and a fridge.

The renovated service houses have all the facilities you need as a guest to feel at home. They are equipped with showers, toilets, disabled toilets and showers, kitchen, washing machine and tumble dryer.

But Sölje Camping offers more activities than this.

Sölje Camping is a campsite that profiles itself as a family campsite, and it shows. The trampoline and climbing towers never get boring for the children who can play here for hours. One of the big highlights at Sölje Camping is the annual swimming school that takes place three weeks during the summer. Lots of children from all over the country have learnt to swim right here together with the knowledgeable and experienced staff. A memory for life, which is also one reason why Sölje Camping has regulars who choose to come back here year after year.

In the vicinity of Sölje Camping there are fine fishing waters. There are plenty of perch and pike, and if you want to try noble fishing in so-called put and take water, you can also do that. You can then grill the freshly caught fish at one of the many barbecue areas in the Sölje Camping area.

Many people who visit Sölje Camping also come here to hike. Sölje Camping is located right next to the Glaskogen nature reserve where there are incredible networks of hiking trails to discover. Many people choose to pack their rucksack with provisions and hike along the 300 km long hiking trails that the nature reserve offers. Some choose to hike for days while others stay here for weeks. Along the trails there are orange markings, signs at junctions, rest areas and shelters. There are moose and wolves in the nature reserve. The nearest town to Sölje Camping is Glava, which is 12 km north of the campsite. There is a petrol and service station and a pizzeria.

Sölje Camping is a very popular summer campsite. Midsummer's Eve is a holiday that attracts many visitors around the country. On the first Saturday in July each year there is also a popular family party and in early August a crayfish party.
