Stöde Camping

Stöde Camping is a family-friendly campsite beautifully situated by the Ljungan and Stödesjön lakes with the magnificent scenery all around. Sundsvall is about 40 km from the campsite. Here we have all the conditions for the perfect camping holiday.

We have tent pitches, camping pitches with or without electricity and cottages.

The campsite has 2 service buildings, one of which is equipped with:

• WC & shower
• Washroom
• Microwave

The other larger service building is equipped with

• Large kitchen with table and chairs
• Microwave
• Ordinary oven
• Laundry room with drying cabinet
• WC & shower
• TV room

With the water so close, we have canoes and boats for hire. It is also easy and convenient to fish from the boats. The lake offers good fishing for perch and pike, and if you fish from the boat you can also fish for pike perch.

The campsite is directly adjacent to the Ljungan, a river that starts all the way from Trondheim in Norway. Ljungan creates a unique atmosphere in the camping area that must be experienced on site.

For those with swimming in mind, there is also Stödebadet right next to the campsite with a heated pool. At Stödebadet you will also find a gym, tennis court, billiards and a cafeteria. If you want to swim in the lake, we have 2 piers on the campsite and there is a very beautiful beach 100 meters from the campsite.

About 1 km from the campsite we have the elljuspåret which is a scenic hiking trail well worth a visit. But there are of course several trails for walking and cycling. Another tip is a walk to Huberget, which is about 100 meters from the campsite. There you can find an old country store, museum, school museum and various activities and entertainment.

The campsite is about 1.5 km from central Stöde. Stöde is a small town with about 600 inhabitants where you can find, among other things, an ICA store, some restaurants and Stöde Church which was opened in 1759. If you want to feel the pulse of a big city, you can easily get to Sundsvall.

Some notable sights and experiences in Sundsvall include Kulturmagasinet, which is a cultural center loaded with activities for all ages. You'll also find exhibitions, the Sundsvall Museum and incredible architecture. Kulturmagasinet won the 1987 Europa Nostra award for the way they restored the building with a combination of modern and antique architecture from the 1890s.

Norra berget is a guaranteed hit if you have the kids with you on a camping trip. The area is Sundsvall's city park and has animal gardens, observation towers, walking paths, a playground with giant squares, playhouses, cafés and restaurants. The area is like Skansen in Stockholm. There is also Handelgård Vinfabriken with sales of locally produced crafts and local delicacies. The park also has an open-air museum with some 40 buildings, including Norrland's oldest log house and a church barn dating back to 1310.

The E14 is 1 minute from the campsite. Animals are also welcome to camp with us.
