Strandgården

A stone's throw from the sea is the magical Strandgården, a seaside accommodation in beautiful surroundings. It is run by Stiftelsen Fritidsgårdar, a non-profit organization on a Christian basis.

The campsite has 30 pitches with electricity for caravans and motorhomes. It is also possible to pitch tents, of which a couple of sites have access to electricity.

Those staying at the campsite have access to a toilet, shower and kitchen in the service building.

In the service building there is also a spacious kitchen where several people can cook at the same time. You will also find a number of stoves, dishwashing areas, fridge, freezer and microwave. Access to latrine and gray water drainage is available and can be done in connection with the service building. For those who wish to wash, there is a laundry room in the service building. The laundry room is booked at the reception.

Strandgården is an alcohol and drug-free campsite!

Strandgården is located on a headland in Vilshärad with the sea as its closest neighbor. The beach that is directly adjacent to the campsite is a long sandy beach with good swimming opportunities for the whole family.

The area is also one of the west coast's absolute best windsurfing spots, something you absolutely must try when you stay here. SUP and wave boards are rented including wetsuits, which are available in a limited number of sizes at Ohana surf shop. It is also possible to rent bicycles.

The campsite also has a restaurant kiosk, own bakery, conference room and church that is open all summer.

During the summer months there is a packed program with church services, devotions, family activities, concerts, children's and teenage club, art exhibitions and various theme weeks.

The popular restaurant at Strandgården serves breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week during the summer. You can enjoy the delicious food along with a great view of the sea wherever you sit in the restaurant. During the warm, beautiful days and evenings of the summer, there is plenty of room on the lovely veranda overlooking the bay of Vilshärad and the mythical Kattegat. You can also order today's lunch, sandwiches & salads as take-away.

In the kiosk, guests and beachgoers can buy ice cream, soft drinks, chips and sweets. The range of ice cream is something out of the ordinary with 24 flavors to choose from. Here you are guaranteed to find both new and old favorites.

If you want to go on excursions, the area offers fantastic opportunities. Halmstad, which is one of Sweden's most popular summer cities, is 1 mile away with restaurants, shopping and attractions.

The opening hours of the campsite are generally between April to October with the high season from mid-July to mid-August. Pets are welcome. Access to Wifi is available.

The facility is run under Christian auspices by parishes in the Equmenia Church and Equmenia and is an alcohol and drug-free environment. A warm welcome to Strandgården!
