Strømsfoss is one of three lock sites along the Halden Canal, and offers a charming setting by the water's edge, embraced by historical architecture including a lock built in 1860, a lockmaster's residence, the Fjøset accommodation, a power station and not least Strømsfoss Mill with a gallery and exhibitions in the summer months. Behind Strømsfoss Mill you will find Møllerens Hus, a house packed with gift items, clothes and wind chimes. There is a café here, with ice cream, cakes, waffles, etc. The area is characterized by a peaceful atmosphere, where you can relax and enjoy the closeness to nature.

Next to the lock is Strømsfoss Handel, which contains a book café and an atmospheric kiosk where all trading takes place over the counter, just like 125 years ago when the house was built.

The motorhome park is located at the veteran boat pier, above the lock, a dedicated parking area with six exclusive spaces for motorhomes. These spaces ensure that guests enjoy both comfort and accessibility. Unfortunately, electricity is not currently available. Toilets and showers are located in the service building west, at the entrance to Kanaltangen. Water can be obtained from a hose in the lock.
