Description
At Sweden's longest river, Klarälven, surrounded by mountains, water and wide views is Sun Dance Ranch. A western ranch with an authentic American feel, in the middle of Sweden. Here there are activities for the whole family!
The campsite consists of a total of 15 spacious camping pitches, half of which are pitches with electricity.
If you prefer to stay in a cabin, it is possible to book bed & breakfast. The ranch has three themed cabins for hire, each with two double bedrooms. All three cabins are decorated in different themes; wilderness, cowboy and Indians. Bed linen, towels and breakfast are included in the price. In addition, it is also possible to stay overnight in the camping cabin. It is a simple little cabin with two beds and without shower and toilet.
The service house is of course available to all guests staying at the ranch. It is fully equipped with 2 toilets, 2 showers, double sinks, washing machine, tumble dryer. In the service cabin you also have access to a refrigerator, freezer, stove, microwave, coffee maker, etc.

The area around Sun Dance Ranch is something special, especially for nature lovers. The ranch consists of 34 hectares of land, of which 14 hectares are forest and 14 hectares are woodland. The horses have access to 20 hectares of the area where you will also find several marked hiking trails and beautiful lakes where you can ride together. In the area you can see many wild animals if you are lucky. Wolves, bears, moose, beavers, deer, foxes, badgers, lynxes and during certain periods even cranes live here.
If you want to rent a mountain bike instead to get around, it is possible to rent it. 20 km north of the ranch is the waterfall Brattfallet. The road to the waterfall goes along a hiking trail with two different options. Either you take the short route that takes an hour or you take the long trail that takes 3-4 hours, both of course with their own character and charm.
The lakes around the facility are connected to the Klarälven river that flows past the ranch. Both canoeing and fishing are very popular with guests. You rent the equipment at the reception.
In addition to seeing and experiencing fantastic nature, Sun Dance Ranch also organises a variety of activities. There is plenty to do for the whole family. Horse riding lessons, outdoor rides, horsemanship, coaching with the help of horses, quad biking, shooting, wilderness safaris are just a few highlights.
Another highlight is the wellness centre. The facility has a jacuzzi with a wonderful view of the river. It can accommodate five people and maintains a temperature of 38-40 degrees all year round. It doesn't matter if it's dark outside as the jacuzzi has jets of different colours that light up in the dark and provide a cosy atmosphere. It costs SEK 100 per hour to rent and you can rent a bathrobe, large towel and flip flops for SEK 70. You can use these throughout your stay.
The saloon and restaurant is open from morning to evening and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can choose from an à la carte menu, buffet or a BBQ! The restaurant and saloon have full rights and organise everything from troubadours to various party nights. Every Friday in July and August, live music is the order of the day with the ranch's famous BBQ nights.
