Vaalimaa Camping

Welcome to Vaalimaa Camping, located in Kymenlaakso just 5 km east of Virolahti. This magnificent campsite is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.

Our campsite is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland and offers 200 metres of beautiful coastline, which is shallow and sandy, making it a great swimming spot for children too.

Vaalimaa Camping is particularly popular with caravanners, offering a peaceful and comfortable environment for all its visitors. The campsite has modern sanitary facilities, including showers and toilets. Children will enjoy the playground with a swing, sandpit and slide.

A volleyball court is available for active guests, and various outdoor games such as marbles and croquet can be borrowed from the kiosk.

The kiosk is open daily from 12 to 20:00 until the end of August. You can buy snacks such as sausage and potatoes, ciabatta bread, fresh buns, soft drinks, sweets and ice cream. We also have a selection of groceries such as grilled sausages, milk and dry goods.

There is plenty to do and see in the vicinity of Vaalimaa Camping. Virolahti, the nearest village, offers all necessary services, such as grocery stores, banks, post office and pharmacy. The town of Hamina, about 30 km away, offers a wider range of restaurants, bars, shops and cultural attractions.

The coastline of the Gulf of Finland offers great opportunities for outdoor activities. You can enjoy beach life, swimming and sunbathing on a quiet sandy beach. There are also good hiking trails nearby where you can enjoy the beautiful nature of Kymenlaakso.

If you want to discover the history and culture of the region, Hamina is definitely worth a visit. The city is famous for its historic buildings and fortresses, which make interesting places to visit for the whole family.

The Russian border is about 500 metres away.
