Vilshärads Camping - Halmstad

Vilshärad Camping is located in scenic Vilshärad, 15 minutes from Halmstad on the west coast. Within walking distance there is a kilometre-long sandy beach with lovely sand dunes, a large nature reserve with many different walking trails and probably Scandinavia's highest sand hill.

With us you enjoy the peace and nature. The campsite has a small shop and ice cream parlour. We have a boules court, outdoor chess and we also hire out mini golf, drinking boards, bicycles and tandem bikes.

In total, there are over 147 camping pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents. Most pitches have a hedge behind them and are on grass, which gives a leafy relaxing feeling. All of the pitches have 10 amp electricity.

The service centres have access to toilets, showers, changing rooms and laundry facilities. If you are disabled, there is of course access to your own bathroom and shower. The kitchens are equipped with a hob, oven and microwave (25-year age limit during July).

Vilshärad offers so much more than a sandy beach and a fantastic nature reserve. There are two restaurants with both ala carte and pizza, one with rights. We have a glassworks where you can blow your own glass, farm shop, clothing barn, football golf.

In the natural harbour, which is a short distance from the facility, you will find Halmstad's perhaps best crab fishing. And next door to Vilshärad is Ringenäs Golf Course and a little further away you will find some more fine golf facilities.

Halmstad is without a doubt one of Sweden's most popular tourist destinations with lots of activities for people of all ages.

For families with children, you have Leo's playland, which is a firm favourite. Or why not Sannarpsbadets Äventyrsbad with water slides, whirlpool and lovely exercise and activity pools. The go-kart halls at Slottsmöllan offer an indoor track and are therefore perfect whatever the weather.

Tylösand, with its vibrant nightlife and cosy restaurants, is 7 km from Vilshärads Camping. Here you will find nightclubs, bars and outdoor cafés that are open until the early hours. Inside Leif's Lounge at Hotell Tylösand, you can enjoy world-class artist Per Gessle's exhibition of all his and Roxette's gold discs and instruments, which are now historical. During the summer there are lots of guest performances here. Don't miss this!

Other excursion destinations are Heagårds Skafferi, Syltfabriken Hafi, Wapnö Gårdsbutik, Mostorps Gård and Strandskatorna.

If you want to go on even longer excursions, you can do as many others do and take a shopping trip to Gekås in Ullared or a day trip to our dear neighbour Denmark.

Vilshärads Camping is open from late April to late August. Exact dates vary from year to year. Exact dates for full service also vary but are usually around midsummer to early August when the reception is also open from early morning to late evening.

The area is adapted for the disabled. Access to wifi is available.
