Central Sweden

Central Sweden is the perfect camping area for those that whish to experience a little bit of everything. Here are opportunities to camp in vibrant cities or by a calm lake. In other words - there is something for everyone: the family who are looking for a nerve-wracking adventure or the fishermen looking for peace and quiet. In central Sweden you can find anything from the Stockholm archipelago with beautiful cliffs and lush islands to deep forests and calm lakes.

The short distances allow you to discover several of its parts in just a few days, but also provide the opportunity to discover an area more accurately.

Geographically, you can divide central Sweden into different areas; the west coast and Gothenburg in the southwest, north of Värmland and the surrounding area and Mälardalen with Stockholm in the east. Finally, just north of Mälardalen we find the renown provinces Dalarna and Gästrikland. Gotland also belongs to the region and is considered to be the region's highlights.
