Bisonfarmen i Gate

Hello and welcome to the Bison Farm in Gate! The bison farm in Gate is located on the beautiful Moblets farm in western Götaland. Here you will find 20 nice pitches with electricity for the motorhome with a magical view of Lake Vättern. You can also of course empty gray water, latrine and refill the fresh water during your stay here. Shower and WC are also available at the Bison Farm in Gate!

As the name says, the Bison Farm in Gate is of course much more than just a campsite. Since early spring 2005, Sweden's largest population of the American bison has been grazing here. Experience these amazing animals in the beautiful landscape right next to the lake vättern and the Hökensås forests. in the summer it also opens up for visitors both large and small where you can go on an exciting safari among the bison.

Either you go out on a trailer and tractor or you go in one of the off-road trucks available at the facility. The tours last about 35 minutes and the farmer will guide you through the tour and tell you everything you need to know about the animals.

After a visit to the farm, it is easy to get hungry and then you will of course find a lovely restaurant or Saloon as it is called on the Bison farm in gate. In the Saloon you can enjoy food and coffee made from well-selected ingredients. Do not miss out on the taste experience of a Bison burger! If you feel that the taste appeals to you, you can of course buy fresh meat from the fine farm shop! At the Bison farm in Gate, we slaughter, butcher and

På Bisonfarmen i Gate kan ni hyra fyrhjulingar för att ta er runt i omgivningarna och på Hökensås vägar. Här finns både fina och roliga rundor att åka på där ni upplever naturen på nära håll. Denna aktivitet kan ni ägna er åt året runt så länge vädret tillåter och man kan åka upp till 2 personer per 4-hjuling! B-körkort är dock ett krav för att få framföra dessa.

Landskapet runt Bisonfarmen i Gate är en mjukt kuperad urbergskam med en natur som är likt den vi har i norrland. Hökensås naturvårdsområde är faktiskt en urbergsrygg som är upp till cirka 300 meter hög och hela tio mil lång.

Är ni badsugna så ta en dagsutflykt till vätterns strand en glas och en tidning och njut av högsommaren efter en dag bland djuren. Vill ni istället göra en utflykt kan ni ta er till Hjo och äta en bit mat, ta er en fika eller handla förnödenheter. Här säger man ofta “I love hjo!”.

Mobolets gård ligger intill väg 195 (Hjo-Jönköping) cirka 17 km söder om Hjo. Kolla efter vägskylten “Gate och Bisonfarm” följ sedan den unika skyltningen (Siluett av en bison) cirka 3km tills att ni ser gården.

Ställplatserna är öppna året runt bara vädret tillåter. Saloon & safari är stängt under lågsäsongen. Högsäsongen hittar ni mellan juni-september.
