Handelsstedet Forvik is a historic trading post with over two hundred years of history, and has been owned by the Arntzen family for four generations. Today, Forvik is not just a memory of the old days, but a living place where you can spend the night, enjoy good food in the Naustloftet Restaurant, and experience the unique atmosphere in our own coffee roastary, Kaffebrenneriet Forvik (Check out our website for opening hours).

Our campsite is right by the ocean with a view toward the mountains Syv-søstre and Dønnamannen. When you arrive we would like you to check in at the reseption to recive a key for our facilies (toilets and showers). You will also recive a map of our campsite and the wifi password when you check in.

As you can see in the pictures there is no marked places, so when you arrive you can choose the spot you want to stay on the camping site.

Handelsstedet Forvik is located in an area rich in culture and history. With a location that has been a trade hub, postal office and Telegraph station for the municipality, Vevelstad. Forvik has a rich past that visitors can delve into and learn more about from the staff.

The proximity to the sea and the beautiful Helgeland coast also offers a variety of outdoor activities and scenic experiences. There are multiple hiking trails to explore not too far away from the campsite.

On Vevelstad there is also a museum where you can go back in time and experience the nature- and cultural history through 6000 years. The museum is called Ristning-Tjaalege, Vevelstad museum og bygdetun, and is located right by the church that is 900m from the campingsite (13 min walk).
